GWM had a successful weekend at Brands Hatch with Andrew Beaumont’s Lotus Cortina and Mclaren M1b. Andrew shared the cars with Andy Middlehurst in Pre 66 Touring Cars and World Sportscar Masters finishing 11th in both races.

Shake down at Mallory Park with the Ferrari yesterday. The car ran well, and we’re looking forward to racing at the Nurburgring rounds next week.
Andrew Beaumont unfortunately didn’t finish the World Sportscar Masters race last week in Barcelona due to a spin. However, he was leading his class and had good pace so we are looking forward to future races.
The Lotus Cortina driven by Andrew Beaumont and Gerry Wainwright had an exciting race and finished 6th over all.
We have just about thawed out after the first two British GT rounds at Oulton Park.
Unfortunatly gearbox problems meant we couldn’t run in Qualifying, after showing good pace in practice.
Both races were very wet and we ended up 18th in race 1 and 13th in race 2.
GWM were at Donington Park for he Masters official pre season test. We were runnung the Mclaren M1b and Lotus Cortina of Andrew Beaumont. Both cars ran well and we are looking forward to the first race in Barcelona.
Last week, GWM had the privilege of being involved in the making of the film Rush, a Formula One film about rival drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda.
Gerry was looking after the F3 car of Chris Holland at Crystal Palace, look out for them in the film!
This week we are looking forward to testing at Donington with a Lotus Cortina and a Mclaren M1b, Then immediately traveling to Oulton Park for the opening round of the British GT Championship.
